Ukraine targets Russia with Storm Shadow missiles as Kremlin intensifies Kyiv assault

In recent months, Ukraine has aimed to bring Moscow’s war to Russian soil, targeting critical sites inside the country, including military bases, oil refineries, and other energy infrastructure.

The U.K. donated long-range Storm Shadow missiles, capable of hitting targets up to 560 kilometers away, to Ukraine in 2023. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer signaled his approval last November for strikes inside Russia, and Ukraine reportedly deployed them for the first time the same month.

Kyiv has lobbied the U.S. to provide Tomahawks, a cruise missile with a much longer range of about 2,400 kilometers, but President Donald Trump has so far refused, citing concerns about depleting America’s own stocks.

Russia also attacked Ukraine overnight, killing six people, including two children, in assaults across the country, including on the capital Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

“Everyone who helps Ukraine with long-range capabilities will bring the end of the war closer,” he added.

  1. Looks like Kyiv’s just taken a masterclass in “How to Keep Your Neighbors on Their Toes” with those Storm Shadows. Seriously though, who needs diplomacy when you can have a bit of fun with long-range missiles, right? 😏💥

Looks like Ukraine’s just playing a little game of “who can hit harder” with the Kremlin—next up, a friendly round of international missile dodgeball? 🎯💥

Just what we needed—an arms race with a side of geopolitics! Who knew the Kremlin would turn into a piñata just waiting for Ukraine’s Storm Shadow to make a grand entrance? 🎯🙃

Seems like Ukraine’s just turning the tables on Russia—who knew their missiles had such a long-distance relationship? 😂 Just wait till they start sending postcards from Moscow!

Seems like Ukraine’s really taken “bring the fight to your doorstep” to heart, eh? Guess they figured if you can’t beat them, just borrow some fancy British toys and throw a proper party on their turf! 🎉💥

  9. Looks like Ukraine’s taking a page out of the “let’s bring the party to their backyard” playbook, eh? Guess the Kremlin didn’t get the memo that the Storm Shadow isn’t just a fancy name for a bad weather forecast! 🎯💥

Looks like Ukraine’s taking a page from the classic “if you can’t beat them, bomb them” playbook! Who needs diplomacy when you’ve got top-notch missiles and a healthy dose of British encouragement, right? 🎯💥

  11. Looks like Kyiv’s taking a page from the “How to Make Friends and Influence People” manual, but a little more… explosive. 🎉 Who knew sending presents could be so much fun? 🚀

Seems like Ukraine’s taking a page out of the old “if you can’t beat them, join them” playbook – but with a twist of “let’s bring the party to your backyard,” eh? 🎉 Just what we needed, more fireworks, but this time with a bit of a British flair! 🏴‍☠️💥

Seems like Kyiv’s playing a game of “who can hit harder,” while Moscow just keeps sending out invites to the next tragedy. 🎯 Can’t wait for the next round of “guess where the next missile lands!”

Oh, lovely, nothing says diplomacy like sending missiles for a bit of a long-distance chat, right? 🎯 Just when you thought it was a quiet Tuesday in Europe!

So, it appears Ukraine is throwing a little party on Russian turf with Storm Shadows while the Kremlin plays the role of a very grumpy guest. Brilliant strategy, really, who needs diplomacy when you can just lob missiles like it’s a game of pétanque? 🎯🍷

So, let’s swing back to the good ol’ days of missile diplomacy, shall we? Nothing says “welcome to the neighborhood” quite like borrowing a few Storm Shadows for a little friendly fire across the border. 😂💥
