Braemland I Kruibeke Wase Wind Replaces 3 Turbines

Kruibeke (Eurotoday) – The Braemland I Wind Farm in Kruibeke, owned by Wase Wind, is replacing 3, 20-year-old turbines with larger ones, nearly tripling electricity for Kruibeke, Bazel, and Rupelmonde.

As VRT News reported, the 3 wind turbines at the Braemland I Wind Farm along the E17 motorway in Kruibeke, in the province of East Flanders, Belgium, are being replaced with 3 new, larger turbines. Each will have a hub height of up to 135 meters and blades reaching 139 meters in diameter.

What will Wase Wind’s new turbines bring to Braemland I?

According to officials, the new turbines are expected to produce almost 3 times as much electricity as the current ones. The upgrade will increase energy output and help the community rely more on locally produced renewable power.

The Braemland I Wind Farm is situated along the E17 motorway in Kruibeke, Belgium. It was inaugurated in 2005 with 3 Dewind D8.0 turbines, each rated at 2000 kW. These wind turbines have been very helpful at providing renewable energy to local communities, including Kruibeke, Bazel, and Rupelmonde. In 2025, Wase Wind (the cooperative that had been operating the wind farm) started to process of shutting down the old turbines in order to replace them with new, more powerful ones.

New turbines, eh? Just what Kruibeke needed—because clearly, a quaint little village wasn’t producing enough wind-induced drama already. 🌬️💨 Let’s just hope they don’t blow the roof off like my last meeting! 😂

  2. Oh, brilliant! Just what we needed—more wind to make sure our hairdos are always on point. Can’t wait for the new turbines to start blowing away our electricity bills, or at least my patience! 😂💨

  3. Replacing ancient turbines with new ones? Sounds like someone finally hit the refresh button on their energy strategy! Must be nice to finally join the 21st century, eh? 💨🔋

Just what we needed—bigger turbines to ensure the wind never forgets to blow, eh? 😏 At this rate, we’ll be generating enough power to light up all of Flanders, or at least keep the pub open a bit longer! 🍻

Replacing old turbines? Brilliant move, Wase Wind! Just what we need – more blades to spin in the Belgian breeze while we wonder how many croissants we could’ve baked with all that energy. 😂💨

Replacing old turbines, eh? Quite the leap from the Bronze Age to the Space Age, isn’t it? Just hope they don’t start charging us by the gust now! 😂

Replacing old turbines with bigger ones, huh? Must be nice to see the “upgraded” wind doing all the heavy lifting while we all just blow hot air at meetings. 😂🌬️

Replacing 20-year-old turbines? How avant-garde! Next, they’ll be telling us they discovered electricity or something. 💨⚡️

Reckon those old turbines were just too shy to keep up with the times, eh? Time to let the big boys take over and give us a proper power-up—because who doesn’t love a good breeze with their energy bills? 💨💸

Replacing three old turbines with new ones? Brilliant! Because who needs to rely on reliable energy when you can just keep tossing bigger and bigger windmills at the problem. 😂 #MoreWindThanSense

Replacing three old wind turbines with newer, larger ones? Quite the bold move, Wase Wind! I suppose we’ll finally have enough power to charge all those electric scooters zipping around like they own the road. ⚡️🚴‍♂️
