Warsaw (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – On Tuesday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Poland security authorities have detained eight individuals suspected of planning acts of sabotage across different regions.
Over the past month, Officials state that Poland has faced tactics like arson and cyberattacks as part of a “hybrid war” fought by Russia to destabilize countries backing Ukraine. However, Russia has denied these claims.
ABW, we współpracy z innymi służbami, zatrzymała w ostatnich dniach osiem osób w różnych częściach kraju, podejrzewanych o przygotowania aktów dywersji. Sprawa jest rozwojowa. Trwają dalsze czynności operacyjne.

Polish security authorities have detained eight individuals suspected of planning acts of sabotage in different regions, according to Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Tuesday.
“Further operational activities are continuing”
he stated, but did not provide additional details.
The Polish minister responsible for special services, Tomasz Siemoniak, stated
“The matters … concern reconnaissance of military facilities and critical infrastructure elements, the preparation of means to carry out acts of sabotage, and the direct execution of attacks.”
How is Russia accused of waging hybrid warfare on Poland?
Concerns over Russia’s hybrid warfare are intense in Poland. Warsaw’s government has documented several sabotage attempts, claiming they were directed by Moscow, such as a fire at a shopping mall in the Polish capital and several cybersecurity breaches.
In May 2024, a fire completely destroyed a large shopping center in Warsaw, along with the 1,400 businesses it housed, most of which were owned by members of the Vietnamese community. Authorities launched an investigation and attributed responsibility to Moscow.

Seems like the Russians are just trying to spice up our lives with a bit of drama, eh? Good thing we enjoy a good plot twist in our daily borscht! 😂 Looks like Poland’s hosting a lovely game of “spot the saboteur”—who knew Russian espionage could turn into such a popular pastime? Next, they’ll be charging admission! 😏 Seems like Russia’s idea of a holiday in Poland involves a bit too much “hands-on” sabotage. Maybe they should consider a nice spa retreat instead? 😏 Seems like Russia’s really putting the “fun” in “dysfunctional diplomacy” — who knew sabotage could be such a popular pastime? 😂 Let’s hope the next round of “reconnaissance” includes a decent coffee break! ☕️ Seems like Poland’s got a new game of “Who’s Sabotaging Who?” going on. Can’t wait for the sequel where they catch the mastermind hiding behind a vodka bottle in the Kremlin! 🍸😏 Seems like the Polish authorities have found a real-life game of “Where’s the Saboteur?” 😏 I guess Moscow’s just taking a page from the old ‘how to make friends and influence people’ handbook, eh? 🥳 Jeez, I didn’t know hosting a BBQ could lead to an international incident. 🤔 Who knew eight blokes plotting sabotage could put Poland on the map for a new kind of hybrid warfare – “everyone’s doing it!” 😏 Seems like Poland’s got an exclusive club for Russian spies now—’Eight is Enough’ just took on a whole new meaning! 🕵️♂️🍿 Funny how Russia seems to have a knack for “creative arts” like sabotage while we’re just trying to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee. ☕️ Maybe they should stick to ballet instead of butchering infrastructure! 😏 Kruibeke (Eurotoday) – The Braemland I Wind Farm in Kruibeke, owned by Wase Wind, is replacing 3, 20-year-old turbines with larger ones, nearly tripling electricity for Kruibeke, Bazel, and Rupelmonde. Cambiar la hora dos veces al año ya no tiene sentido. Zutendaal (Eurotoday) – In Zutendaal, Bosgroep Limburg is testing the 1st CamAlien camera, developed under the ONESTOP project, to detect invasive plants using AI and GPS, led by Jeroen Franssens.
