As GVA News reported, roadworks on the E40 in Dilbeek, part of the Brussels ring road, affected traffic heavily on Friday, October 3, 2025 and caused long delays in the evening rush hour. Authorities say the project is expected to be completed by November 7, 2025.
Municipal authorities noted that the traffic problem is most likely to occur in October and November. This situation is exacerbated if there is rain. Traffic congestion was also caused by the sold-out K3 concert at the AFAS Dome in Antwerp, during which the original K3 singers, Karen Damen, Kathleen Aerts, and Kristel Verbeke, reunited for a concert tour that commenced in October 2025. 200,000 tickets were sold in the first 4 hours.
