Ex-Ukraine Parliament Speaker Fatally Shot in Lviv

The Ukrainian president expressed condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased, stating that all necessary forces and means are engaged in the investigation and search for the killer.

Parubiy, who played a significant role in the pro-Western Euromaidan revolution from 2013-2014, served as the speaker of Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, between 2016 and 2019.

Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office confirmed the initiation of a murder investigation.

In his statement, Zelenskyy emphasized that all required forces and resources are being deployed.

Ukrainian prosecutors reported that an unidentified gunman fired multiple shots at Parubiy, resulting in his immediate death.

No official comments on a possible motive have been provided yet, Ukrainian outlets reported.

This is a developing story.

Seems like Lviv’s become the new hotspot for a game of “who can shoot the loudest,” eh? 🙄 Just when you think the political drama couldn’t get any more theatrical! 🎭

Just another day in Ukraine where you can’t even be a former parliament speaker without getting a permanent vacation. 🤷‍♂️ Sounds like they really need to step up their security game, or perhaps invest in some better luck! 🥴

Just another day in Lviv, where one moment you’re a former speaker and the next, you’re making headlines for all the wrong reasons. 🤷‍♂️ Bet they’ll sort this one out faster than you can say “Euromaidan,” right? 💼💥

Just another day in paradise, eh? It’s not like the old chap was doing anything important; I mean, who needs stability when you can have drama instead? 😂💼

Just another day in paradise, eh? I suppose when you’re ex-parliament speaker, the “shoot first, ask questions later” policy really takes on a whole new meaning. 😏🔫
