Ukraine: Trump’s envoy set to visit Russia this week

Mr. Witkoff is scheduled to visit “I think next week, Wednesday or Thursday,” the American president informed reporters on Sunday evening.

The Kremlin characterized this visit as “important and useful” on Monday, amidst a surge in tensions between Moscow and Washington, largely due to Mr. Trump’s announcement of deploying two nuclear submarines on Friday, following an online dispute with former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev (2008-2012).

This display of force coincides with Donald Trump giving Russia a 10-day ultimatum last week to conclude the war in Ukraine, threatening unspecified new sanctions if they fail to comply by next Friday.

While the Russian president has met with Steve Witkoff multiple times in Moscow, Donald Trump’s attempts to reopen dialogue with the Kremlin have yet to yield results.

Oh, brilliant! Just what we need—another trip to Moscow for tea and sanctions. Bet the Kremlin can’t wait to roll out the red carpet for our favorite reality TV star’s envoy. 🍵😏

Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “let’s solve our problems” like sending an envoy to Russia while flexing nuclear muscles—who needs diplomacy when you can just play chess with submarines? 😂🧐

Looks like Witkoff’s off to play diplomat while Trump flexes his muscle – nothing says “let’s chat” like a nuclear submarine, eh? 🤔💼

Oh, brilliant, just what we needed—a trip to the Kremlin right when tensions are hotter than a summer in southern Spain. 🥵 Let’s see if Mr. Witkoff can charm his way to peace without tripping over a nuclear submarine! 🚀

  6. Oh great, just what we needed – another round of diplomatic speed dating in the Kremlin! Can’t wait to see how this one ends; maybe they’ll finally get to the bottom of the borscht recipe! 😏🍲

Oh, splendid! Just what we need—a little trip to Moscow for a chat while the world’s on fire. 💥 Sounds like a classic case of “let’s-have-a-tea-party-while-the-house-burns-down,” innit? 🍵🔥

Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “diplomacy” like sending a real estate tycoon to negotiate with a country that’s got more nukes than common sense. Can’t wait to see how this turns out—might as well bring popcorn! 🍿😏
