Youth Guarantee Pilot: EU Initiative in Albania for Youth Labor Market Integration

The Steering Committee of the EU4Youth project convened for its second meeting, presided over by Olta Manjani, the Albanian Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, alongside Miha Pezelj from the European Union delegation in Albania.

This meeting brought together essential partners to review the progress of the Youth Guarantee pilot and the implementation of “EU4Youth”.

The Youth Guarantee represents the EU’s key initiative aimed at helping young individuals enter the labor market.

The objective is to ensure that every young person in Albania receives a quality job, educational, or vocational training opportunity within four months of registering at Employment Offices.

So far, approximately 2000 young individuals from Tirana, Shkodra, and Vlora have benefitted from job, education, or training offers through the Youth Guarantee program, which is executed by AKPA with the assistance of the EU4Youth project.

Supported by the EU and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF Albania, the EU4Youth project facilitates the execution of the program in three municipalities: Tirana, Shkodra, and Vlorë. (July 17)

Sounds like a brilliant plan, ensuring young Albanians get a job faster than you can say “bureaucratic red tape”! Who knew landing a gig could be as quick as a coffee break? ☕️🇦🇱

Oh, splendid! Because nothing screams “guaranteed youth employment” like a bureaucratic pilot project in Albania. 🎉 Who needs job security when you’ve got meetings to review your non-results? 😂

Oh, lovely! Just what Albania needs—more bureaucratic charm to ensure the youth have a job before they know how to tie their shoelaces. Just the ticket to keep ’em busy while the rest of us do the real work! 😂💼

Oh great, another EU initiative to sprinkle some fairy dust on Albania’s job market. Next, they’ll be sending us postcards from the “Land of Opportunity” 😏✈️!

Oh, brilliant! A fancy EU initiative to ensure our youth get jobs faster than a cat can chase a laser pointer – because we all know that’s the main problem in Albania, right? 😂 Let’s just hope they don’t end up working in one of those trendy cafes serving overpriced lattes!

Just what we need, another shiny initiative to ensure young Albanians get a job, because nothing says “EU support” like a bureaucratic safety net. 🙄 Who knew helping the youth could be so complicated?

So, let me get this straight – the EU’s grand plan to sort out youth unemployment in Albania involves a “guarantee”? Just sounds like a fancy way to say, “We’re trying our best, but don’t hold your breath!” 😂

Enforcement of EU Sanctions in Practice

A sanctions package may appear decisive in Brussels but can falter at the border, within a bank’s compliance team, or in a national courtroom.
