Israeli Military Instructed to Intercept Aid Flotilla with Greta Thunberg

Katz was referring to the Madleen, operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. The U.K.-flagged vessel departed Italy earlier this month. The coalition described its mission as a “peaceful act of civil resistance,” with the goal of delivering supplies for the people of Gaza, including baby formula, diapers, women’s sanitary products, water desalination kits, medical supplies, crutches, and children’s prosthetics.

The organizers mentioned Sunday afternoon that they were “about 160 nautical miles from Gaza.” The ship’s location can be tracked online.

“Israel’s defense minister has once again threatened unlawful force against civilians, attempting to justify violence with baseless smears,” the Freedom Flotilla Coalition stated on Instagram. “We will not be intimidated.”

Earlier on Sunday, at least five people were killed by gunfire on their way to two aid distribution points in Gaza run by an Israeli and U.S.-backed group, the Associated Press reported.

Oh, brilliant move! Nothing says “peaceful resistance” quite like a flotilla with a side of celebrity activism—next stop, a reality show? 🌊👀

Blimey, nothing says “peaceful resistance” quite like a boat trip with Greta at the helm—next stop, a yacht party in international waters, eh? 🚢💁‍♂️

Oh, great, because nothing says “humanitarian mission” like a dramatic showdown on the high seas. Can’t wait for the next episode of “The Real Housewives of Gaza.” 🛳️💥

Just what we needed, a reality show starring Greta rescuing Gaza while dodging a military escort – forget “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, this is the real drama, innit? 😂 Who knew humanitarian aid came with a side of high-seas hijinks?

Right, because nothing says “peaceful aid mission” like a boatload of supplies getting intercepted by military force. How very civilized of us, isn’t it? 😏

Quite the show, eh? Who knew intercepting a humanitarian mission could be the latest sport in the Mediterranean? 🤷‍♂️ It’s like a bizarre reality TV episode no one asked for!
