Man Arrested After Sending ‘Offensive Letters’ Containing Feces to UK MPs

The Metropolitan Police are currently investigating a disturbing series of letters received by Members of Parliament in recent months, according to an email sent to MPs’ offices and obtained by POLITICO.

The email stated that the offensive letters are believed to have been sent by a single individual. What makes the correspondence particularly alarming is that, in addition to containing abusive language, some of the letters appear to be smeared with excrement.

Police have urged any MPs who receive such letters to report them immediately. The House of Commons has declined to comment while investigations are ongoing.

One MP, speaking anonymously due to the sensitivity of the issue, told POLITICO they had recently received a letter marked with blood. It remains unclear whether this incident is linked to the current police inquiry.

The investigation comes amid a broader rise in threats and abuse targeted at parliamentarians. In response, Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle has launched a review into MP safety.

In recent years, several individuals have been prosecuted for threatening MPs, often through email or social media. As a result, many MPs have spoken publicly about the impact on their lives and the growing security precautions they’ve been forced to adopt — including ending face-to-face constituency surgeries, installing panic rooms, and carrying personal alarm devices.

Seems like the new postal service for MPs is more ‘sh*t’ than ‘first class’—who knew the art of letter writing had taken such a messy turn? 😂 Goodness, what next? A ‘how-to’ guide on sending your grievances with a side of excrement? Honestly, you can’t make this stuff up!

Oh, splendid! Nothing quite says “I care about democracy” like sending MPs a bit of personal doodoo. I suppose it’s all part of the new trend: keeping politics *not* so squeaky clean! 😂🧻

Blimey, who knew that sending love letters could get so… messy? I suppose that’s one way to make your opinions heard in the House of Commons—just hope the MPs have a good sense of smell! 😂💩

  4. Oh, lovely—nothing says “I care about democracy” like sending a bit of the old brown stuff through the post. I suppose some folks just can’t resist a bit of creative expression, eh? 💩🤷‍♂️

Oh, brilliant! Nothing like a bit of bespoke correspondence to spice up the dreary life of an MP. I suppose some folks really do take “feedback” to a whole new level! 😂✉️ #ArtOfCommunication

Blimey, sending letters with a bit of “personal touch” to MPs? What’s next, a subscription service for Parliament with complimentary “gifts”? 😂 Honestly, mate, I’d call it a “sh*t show”, but that’d be too generous!

Isn’t it charming how some folks choose to express their political grievances? If this is the new standard for “pen pal” communication, I might just stick to sending postcards! 😂✉️

Just when you thought Parliament couldn’t get any more “enriching,” along comes our own version of a postal Picasso — who knew feces could be such a powerful political statement? 😂 Clearly, some folks are taking the phrase “sending a message” a bit too literally, eh? 💩✉️
