Is Elon Musk Shaping Global Politics?

The United States is clearly concerned about the growing influence of the future leader of the Department of Government Efficiency, a tech billionaire and the co-founder of X.com (later PayPal).

The American media note Musk’s activity in politics with an alarm. In their opinion, in the first days of 2025, he actually began to control world politics through publications on his page in the social network X.

In the first three days of 2025, Elon Musk published dozens of brief, often provocative posts to his followers on the X platform. He called on King Charles III to dissolve the Parliament and to call a new general election at the same time, publishing memes and a barrage of attacks on Prime Minister Keir Starmer (accusing Starmer of complicity in the mass rape of girls in the Kingdom and pointing to many other cases across the country). Musk has been reposting tweets about how “the UK lost the Battle Against Illegal migration“. He also announced that he would soon hold a live broadcast of a conversation with Alice Weidel, a candidate for chancellor for the right-wing Alternative for Germany party (the broadcast later took place on January 10, 2024). Musk has also been criticising the current chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, and tweeting that

AfD is the only hope for Germany. You must vote for a change. I am strongly recommending that people vote for AfD.

After the fires in Los Angeles, Musk has been saying that “the new government is needed for California.”

Response of the media

The UK administration responded that his disregard for the truthfulness of his reporting and his elevation of far-right and extremist figures has alarmed liberal leaders around the world.

Elon Musk is an American citizen and should probably focus on issues on the other side of the Atlantic.

If Elon Musk was really paying attention to what is happening in our country, he might have realized that there have already been investigations.

(Of rapes)

The chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, expressed concern over Musk’s support for the AfD, labeling parts of the party as right-wing extremist.

“I find it much more worrying than such insults that Musk is supporting a party like the AfD, which is in parts right-wing extremist, which preaches rapprochement with Putin’s Russia and wants to weaken transatlantic relations,”

Scholz said.

The current US government has pointed out that “Elon’s actions are often misguided and untrue.” Adding later that he is becoming dangerous.

The response of the Russian Federation is giving the most clear explanation of Musk’s actions:

He expresses the views of Trump himself, which are difficult for him to express publicly.

It seems
