1,000 Days Since Putin’s Full-Scale Invasion, EU Commends Ukraine’s Resilience

European leaders expressed their steadfast support for Ukraine on the 1,000th day of Russia’s invasion, reflecting on the country’s resilience and the sacrifices made by its people.

“Russia tried to wipe Ukraine off the map, and for 1,000 days Russia has failed because of Ukraine’s resistance and the sacrifice of your heroes,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said.

He emphasized that by supporting Ukraine, Poland and Europe are keeping the conflict at a distance from their own borders. “Let us remember that every single day,” Tusk urged.
