Zelenskiy willing to step down for Ukraine’s peace

Kyiv (Eurotoday) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated he was willing to give up his presidency if it meant peace in Ukraine, suggesting that he could exchange his exit for Ukraine’s entry into NATO.

If (it means) peace for Ukraine if you really need me to leave my post, I am ready,

Zelenskiy stated when asked during a press conference whether he was willing to leave his position if it implied securing peace.

I can exchange this for NATO (membership), if that condition is there, immediately,

the president also said.

The Ukrainian president also stated he wanted to glimpse Trump as a partner to Ukraine and more than simply a negotiator between Kyiv and Moscow.

I really want it to be more than just mediation… that’s not enough,

Will Trump push for elections during the conflict?

A few weeks ago, the United States expressed that it wants Ukraine to hold elections, potentially by the end of the year, particularly if Kyiv can arrange a truce with Russia in the forthcoming months, President Donald Trump’s leading Ukraine official told Reuters.
