Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Trump in Florida, proposing a 20-point peace plan for U.S. security guarantees to Kyiv and the transformation of Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region into a free economic zone.
On Tuesday, approximately 27 leaders, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, and the alliance’s top military officer, Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, will convene in Paris in the Coalition of the Willing format.
Paris and London, leading the Coalition of the Willing, aim to discuss five key points: monitoring a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine; supporting Ukraine’s military; establishing a multinational reassurance force in Ukraine post-war; ensuring support for Kyiv if Moscow breaches a ceasefire; and long-term defense cooperation agreements with Ukraine.
Defense chiefs also discussed Ukraine’s security guarantees on Monday.
