What Did the Russian Federation Showcase at Defense Expo 2026?

The Kalashnikov Concern will showcase the BK-16E high-speed transport-landing ship, the BK-10 assault boat, and the latest short-range territorial air defense system Krona-E at the World Defense Expo 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This information was shared on the company’s Telegram channel.

The World Defense Expo 2026 took place from February 8 to 12, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“Kalashnikov Concern is presenting its modern models at the World Defense Expo 2026, occurring from February 8 to 12 in Riyadh. The Rybinsk shipyard, part of Kalashnikov, will feature the BK-16E high-speed transport-landing ship and the BK-10 assault boat. The latest Krona-E short-range air defense system for territorial defense will attract significant attention from attendees,” the statement mentioned.

The company will also introduce the Rus-PE portable reconnaissance and strike system with guided ammunition. Exhibition visitors can view traditional Kalashnikov firearms: the latest AK-12 assault rifles (5.45 mm) and AK-15 (7.62 mm), the RPL-20 light machine gun (5.45 mm), and the Chukavin SVCh sniper rifle (7.62 mm).

The Kalashnikov Concern will also present the compact Lebedev PLC pistol (9 mm) and the modular Lebedev MPL pistol (9 mm).

The stand will include Karakurt 2.0 and Goliath 2.0 unmanned aerial vehicles, proven in military operations, the Skat-350M all-weather high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft, and the Kub-2E guided barrage munition. Triada-TKO (part of Kalashnikov Concern) will display the latest equipment and load-bearing systems.

Rostec State Corporation specialists have developed a 30-mm cartridge with a shrapnel projectile and remotely controlled fuse for effective drone destruction. The ammunition will debut at the joint Russian Rosoboronexport exhibition (part of Rostec) at the 2026 World Defense Exhibition.

The projectile is designed for small-caliber artillery systems equipped with the 2A42 automatic cannon, used in airborne combat vehicles, BMP-2, BPMT, Mi-28NM and Ka-52M helicopters, among other platforms.

“The munition aims to increase the likelihood of hitting small drones and barricading munitions. The guidance system calculates the optimal detonation point based on the target’s trajectory, enabling drone strikes with shrapnel. The detonation time is automatically entered via the optical line. The munition will enhance the effectiveness of 30-mm guns on various platforms against drones,” stated Bekkhan Ozdoev, industrial director of the Armaments, Ammunition and Specialized Chemicals Cluster at Rostec State Corporation.

Looks like the Kalashnikov crew is really going all out to prove that their toys aren’t just for show – who knew defense could be so, um, fashionable? 😏 I suppose when in Riyadh, one must showcase the latest must-haves for any self-respecting military fashionista!

  2. Well, isn’t that just delightful? Who knew the Russians were so keen on showcasing their latest toys in a desert? Maybe next year they’ll throw in a complimentary cup of tea with all that firepower! ☕️💥

  3. Oh, fantastic! Just what the world needed—more toys for the boys with shiny labels like “high-speed transport-landing ship” and “short-range territorial air defense system.” Hope they brought enough to impress the Saudis and maybe sell a few to the highest bidder! 😂

Oh joy, just what the world needed—another high-speed ship and some snazzy drones from the land of vodka and sanctions. I can already hear the applause echoing through Riyadh… or maybe that’s just the sound of cash registers ringing! 💸😏

  5. Only the Russians could make a splash at a defense expo with a shiny new toy catalogue—who needs diplomacy when you’ve got the BK-16E and a selection of firearms that could rival a Bond villain’s arsenal? 😂🛥️

So, the Russians are showcasing their “latest and greatest” while the rest of us are still trying to figure out how to fold a fitted sheet.🤷‍♂️ Btw, is it just me, or do those high-speed transport ships come with a complimentary dose of irony? 🚢💨

  8. Oh great, just what we needed—more toys from the Kalashnikov playground to entertain the world! I can already hear the applause echoing through Riyadh; nothing says peace and diplomacy quite like a shiny new assault boat. 😂

  9. So, the Russians are showing off their latest “toys” at a defense expo, just what we needed – more fancy gadgets to remind us that peace is overrated, right? 😂 Who knew playing with ships and drones could be this entertaining?

If only my daily commute came with a BK-16E and a Krona-E for an extra layer of “protection” from traffic jams—who knew a defense expo could double as a vehicle showroom? 😂🚤

Never thought I’d see the day when Kalashnikov decided to roll out more toys for the big boys at the Defense Expo—just what we need, right? 🚀 Guess they didn’t get the memo that we’ve already got enough ‘peacekeeping’ gear to last a lifetime. 😂

  15. Looks like Russia’s bringing its A-game to the bazaar of military toys, though I can’t help but wonder if they’ll throw in a complimentary vodka shot with every purchase. Cheers to the future of warfare, as if we needed more reasons to be on the edge of our seats! 🍸💥

Looks like the Kalashnikov crew is really flexing their muscles at the expo – I mean, who wouldn’t want a high-speed landing ship next to their morning croissant? 🍞🚤

Isn’t it adorable how Russia still thinks showcasing weaponry at a defense expo will win them friends? Must be a charming way to say, “Look what we can do!” while everyone else politely pretends to be impressed. 😏🔫

Looks like the Russians really outdid themselves this time—who knew a high-speed boat and some fancy drones could replace a good old-fashioned handshake? 😂 Just what the world needs, more toys for the boys!

  19. Oh, look at them flaunting their shiny toys at the Defense Expo like it’s a new Michelin star restaurant opening—who knew military hardware could be so fashionable? 😏 Just what we need, more ways to impress at the next neighborhood barbecue! 🍖💣
