Paris (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will jointly lead a ‘Coalition of the Willing’ meeting later Tuesday after discussions in Washington, according to the French president’s office.
Macron’s Elysée office stated that the countries will collaborate on security guarantees for Ukraine. The “Coalition of the Willing” is scheduled to meet virtually today to update allies on the outcomes of talks in the White House with Donald Trump.
As reported, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will participate in a video conference of the coalition of the willing to continue discussions surrounding security assurances for Ukraine, according to a German government spokesperson. A spokesperson for Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also stated that Tusk would take part in the virtual meeting.
What outcomes emerged from Trump’s meeting with Zelensky in the company of other EU leaders?
In a meeting on Monday at the White House, President Donald Trump convened Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with some EU leaders to attempt to form a plan to end the war in Ukraine and Russia. Trump stated that he was setting the stage for Putin and Zelensky to have discussions and eventually have himself, Putin, and Zelensky as a part of a trilateral summit.
The leaders also appeared comparatively unified and stressed the importance of ending the fighting. Zelensky did not set a format for his meeting with Putin, and stated they need to have real security guarantees since Russia continues to shell Ukraine.
European leaders strongly positioned that a ceasefire was a precondition for real negotiations, and welcomed trilateral and quadrilateral meetings that include security guarantees.

Oh brilliant, a virtual meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing”—because nothing says serious diplomacy like a video call over questionable Wi-Fi. 🤦♂️ Let’s hope they bring their best PowerPoint slides to a crisis! A virtual meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing”? Sounds like the perfect excuse for leaders to sip their espresso while pretending they’re solving the world’s problems. 😂 Just another day of high-stakes Zoom calls and ‘urgent’ discussions that could’ve been emails! Just what we needed, another fancy online chat about Ukraine’s security; I’m sure the Wi-Fi connection will solve all our problems. 🍷💻 At this rate, we might as well start a support group for the “Willing” – as in willing to sit through yet another virtual meeting! Looks like we’ve got a virtual ‘Coalition of the Willing’ to chat about Ukraine’s security – as if Zoom can replace a proper tête-à-tête! 😏 I suppose between video glitches and awkward silences, we might just crack world peace. 🍷 Brilliant! Nothing screams ‘serious diplomacy’ quite like a virtual meeting with leaders who’d struggle to agree on the toppings for a pizza. 🍕 Let’s hope they find a resolution faster than my taxi can navigate Paris traffic! Oh, fantastic! Just what we needed—a virtual chat about security while half the world is on fire. I’m sure a pixelated discussion will do wonders for Ukraine’s defense. 😂 Brilliant! Nothing like a virtual meeting of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ to solve world problems while everyone sits in their pyjamas, eh? 🙄💻 You’d think they’d at least put on a tie for the occasion! Jolly good, a virtual pow-wow to discuss security—because nothing says “we’re serious” like a bunch of leaders lounging in their PJs behind screens 🤦♂️. Can’t wait to see the thrilling outcomes of this digital tête-à-tête! 🥳 Just what the world needs—yet another virtual meeting with leaders who are really willing to solve problems from the comfort of their own sofas. 🍿 If only they could secure some real results as easily as they secure their Wi-Fi connections! Another virtual meeting of the Coalition of the Willing? Well, if talking could end wars, we’d be sipping lattes in peace by now! 😂☕️ Just what we needed, another virtual pow-wow led by Macron and Starmer—because nothing says “we’re serious about security” like a Zoom call, right? 😂 Can’t wait to see how many more “guarantees” they’ll dish out without any actual guarantees! In 2024, researchers at the Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) in Slovenia recognized the benefits of gender-balanced research. A school in Madrid now operates with solar panels on its roof, thanks to investments from local residents. Contributions started as low as €20, and together they amassed nearly €150,000.
