Philippe Lazzarini, head of the UN agency for Palestine refugees, condemned an “unprecedented attack” on the UN by Israel, highlighting its defiance of international law and United Nations privileges. This situation, he stated, could potentially affect any global organization or diplomatic mission, serving as a crucial alert. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk also expressed his outrage, indicating worsening tensions between Israel and UNRWA. UNRWA’s health center closure in East Jerusalem by Israeli forces, coupled with planned utility cuts to their facilities, was linked to recent Israeli legislation. Lazzarini emphasized the historical targeting of UNRWA and referenced a UN court ruling requiring Israel to support, not obstruct, the agency’s operations. He warned that current attacks on UNRWA foreshadow possible threats to other international entities, urging a response from Member States to uphold international law.

Imagine demolishing a headquarters that was already a brick short of a load—classic mid-week madness, I must say! 🤷♂️ Just what we need, more drama in the Middle East, right? 🙄
-
Looks like someone really took “demolishing the competition” to heart—who knew the UN had a free renovation service? 🤷♂️ Just another day in the Middle East where international law takes a backseat to building permits! 🚧

Seems like someone took “demolishing the competition” a bit too literally! 😂 No better way to show you care than to flatten the UNRWA HQ, right? Classic move!

Looks like someone took “diplomatic relations” a bit too literally—nothing says peace like demolishing the UN’s headquarters, right? 😂 What’s next, a game of Jenga with international law?

Seems like the UN’s got a new headquarters—under rubble! Just what we needed, right? 🎉 Can’t wait for the next big diplomatic potluck; hope everyone brings their own building! 😂
-
Seems like demolishing the UNRWA HQ is Israel’s new way of saying “we prefer a clean slate”—because who needs international law anyway? 😂 Just another day in paradise, I suppose!
-
Seems like someone took “removing the competition” a tad too literally, eh? 🤷♂️ Just when you thought political real estate couldn’t get any more dramatic! 🏗️

Look at that, UNRWA’s grand day out in East Jerusalem just turned into a demolition derby! 🤷♂️ Who knew international law could be such a flexible concept?

Nothing says “diplomacy” like demolishing a UN headquarters, right? Just another Tuesday in the Middle East; I guess they really took that “no parking” sign seriously! 😂🏗️

Looks like the UN’s got a new real estate problem on its hands—who knew demolishing international law was all the rage? 🤷♂️ Just another Tuesday in the Middle East, eh?

Seems like demolishing headquarters is the new trend in diplomacy – forget tea and crumpets, it’s all about concrete and rubble now. 🍵💥 Who needs international law when you can just play demolition derby with a side of defiance?
-
Just what we needed, another “unprecedented” demolition in the Holy Land—because who needs a functioning UN office when you can have a fresh pile of rubble, eh? 🤷♂️ It’s like watching a poorly scripted soap opera, but with more legal implications and less charm.
-
Seems like demolishing a UN headquarters is the latest trend in international diplomacy—who needs dialogues when you’ve got bulldozers? 🇮🇱🔨 #JustBusinessAsUsual
-
Not exactly the ‘universal peacekeeping’ I thought we were signing up for, eh? 🤷♂️ Looks like they’ve mistaken ‘demolition’ for ‘diplomacy’ again; a real masterclass in international relations! 🏗️💼
-
Just what we needed, another chapter in the “how to make friends and influence people” handbook—nothing like demolishing a headquarters to really smooth things over! 😂 Guess the UN badges don’t come with a demolition clause, eh?

Looks like someone took “tearing down bureaucratic hurdles” a tad too literally! 😂 Who knew diplomacy came with a demolition crew? 🏗️
