Skopje – The EU is increasingly recognizing our concerns, and Brussels has moved away from using phrases like “take it or leave it,” stated Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Viktorija Trajkov, during an interview on TV Star.
In her discussion, Trajkov pointed out the evolving dynamics in relations with the European Union, emphasizing our arguments in the negotiation process and the challenges posed by bilateralization, which is hindering the advancement of Western Balkan countries.
She underscored the necessity for a sustainable and equitable solution to facilitate our progress, as opposed to temporary measures that could create further obstacles.
“Macedonia aspires to join the EU as a proud member, not as one that feels humiliated. Our identity is an intrinsic sentiment that cannot be negotiated,” Trajkov asserted. She called for support and tangible actions from the EU to combat Euroscepticism and enhance ties with the Union. (December 24)
