Stockholm – Sweden has extended an offer to Switzerland to take in injured patients from the ski resort fire disaster in Crans-Montana.
Switzerland has requested international aid, which is currently being organized through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
“We are prepared,” stated Minister of Health Elisabet Lann to TT.
“It is a critical situation; many of these patients are severely injured and require immediate advanced care.”
The assistance involves intensive care beds for critically burned patients, specialized medical expertise, and transport with medical capabilities. In Sweden, the University Hospital in Linköping and the Academic Hospital in Uppsala are primarily equipped to provide the specialized care needed.
Several countries, including neighboring Germany and Italy, have also offered their support.
