Sweden deploys police to Copenhagen

Stockholm – Sweden will deploy police to Denmark to enhance security for this week’s EU summit.

The deployment will include motorcycle officers and bomb detection dogs.

Denmark is organizing an informal EU summit that starts on Wednesday, with Sweden providing “an extensive police resource” as approximately 40 European leaders convene in Copenhagen, according to the police authority. Norwegian law enforcement is also joining the initiative.

“This initiative reflects our Nordic cooperation, coordinated between police authorities and at the request of Danish police,” stated Linda Hedmark, head of the operational unit Noa, in a press release.

The last significant instance of Nordic police collaboration occurred during last year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, when Denmark and Norway sent police to assist Sweden.

So, let me get this straight—Sweden’s sending its finest to babysit Denmark during an EU meeting? 🤔 Next, they’ll be requesting a police escort just to cross the street! 😂

Looks like Sweden’s got a new side gig as Denmark’s personal bodyguards for the EU summit. Who knew security was just a hop, skip, and a motorcycle ride away? 😂 #NordicBuddies

Typical, isn’t it? Just when you think you’ve seen it all, the Swedes are off playing security guards for their neighbors while we’re all just trying to enjoy our pickled herring in peace. 😂

Oh, brilliant move, sending in the Swedish police—because nothing says “EU summit security” like a bunch of motorbikes and bomb-sniffing hounds. 🚓🐕 Next, we’ll have a Eurovision police parade!

Looks like Sweden’s sending in the cavalry to help out their cozy neighbor. Who knew EU summits needed more muscle than a Swedish meatball convention? 😂

Oh, splendid! Nothing says “we trust our neighbors” quite like sending in the police on motorcycles and with bomb-sniffing dogs to an EU summit. Must be quite the party in Copenhagen! 🏍️💼

  7. Spending a fortune on motorbikes and bomb-sniffing dogs just to keep the EU summit safe? Brilliant move, Sweden! Guess they’ve finally figured out that a cozy chat over fika isn’t enough to keep things peaceful. 😂

Only in Europe do we send in the cavalry for a summit – because nothing says “we’re ready to discuss trade” quite like a few motorcycles and bomb-sniffing dogs. 🐕💼 Guess security’s the new hottest topic on the agenda!

Seems like the Swedes are really going the extra mile for their Danish pals—next thing you know, they’ll be sending cinnamon buns with those bomb detection dogs. 🤷‍♂️ Just what we needed: a Nordic guard of honor for some EU chit-chat! 🍩

Looks like Sweden’s taking the “Nordic unity” thing a bit too far this time—who knew they needed a police escort for a bunch of politicians drinking overpriced coffee? ☕🚓

So, let me get this straight: Sweden’s sending in the cavalry for a chat fest? Must be a riveting summit if you need bomb-sniffing pups and motorcycle cops to keep everyone in line! 🐕💨

Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “secure summit” quite like a motorcycle brigade and bomb-sniffing pups from the neighbors. Can’t wait for the next round of “who’s got the best security,” eh? 😂🇸🇪🇩🇰
