A leading sexual wellness company, which calls itself the “global leader in sexual wellness products,” has submitted concerns to the European Commission regarding content regulation practices. The submission was made on March 7, followed by a meeting with the Commission’s Digital Markets Act (DMA) unit, according to company spokesperson Verena Singmann.
“Our mission is to promote sexual happiness and empowerment, as we believe these are essential to people’s overall health, wellbeing, and happiness,” said Singmann.
She emphasized that the company is calling on the Commission to ensure that major online platforms, or “gatekeepers,” enforce content policies in a fair and transparent way.
In response, a Commission spokesperson confirmed receipt of the submission and stated that the information is being reviewed as “market information,” noting that the DMA regulation does not provide for a formal complaint process.
