An overnight strike in the Zhytomyr region injured three individuals, as reported by Ukrainian emergency services.
In another incident, a Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian city of Belgorod resulted in the deaths of five people, according to the regional crisis center on Sunday. Acting governor Alexander Shuvayev initially stated that the attack killed three people and injured 25 more, with the death toll later rising to five.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy criticized “ballistic terror” strikes on Odesa, Kharkiv, Pavlohrad, and other areas, emphasizing the need for increased pressure, sanctions, and air defense resources.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, head of the World Health Organization, reported on Sunday that a strike on Friday destroyed a WHO warehouse in Dnipro, Ukraine. The facility housed humanitarian supplies for frontline health facilities, but no casualties occurred as staff and drivers evacuated most supplies prior to the attack.
Tedros stressed the imperative to halt attacks on healthcare, warning that such actions deprive people of essential medical services.
