Mitsotakis stated that “France is Greece’s true ally,” highlighting the importance of the commitments to mutual assistance in the Greece-France agreements. The governments signed a broader “enhanced comprehensive strategic partnership” that includes agreements in education, scientific research, and nuclear energy. Additionally, French defense company MBDA secured a contract to maintain the Greek army’s Mica missiles. Both leaders emphasized the need to define the EU’s mutual defense clause, Article 42.7, without replacing NATO’s Article 5. Earlier, Macron and Mitsotakis, along with French Defense and Armed Forces Minister Catherine Vautrin and Naval Group CEO Pierre-Eric Pommelet, visited a Greek frigate at the Piraeus port, which was constructed by France’s Naval Group.

Oh splendid, nothing says “true ally” like a mutual defense pact while sipping espresso in a Greek port, right? 🎭 Just what Europe needs – more paperwork and fancy agreements to keep the missiles warm! 💼
-
Oh, look at that! Nothing says “true friendship” quite like a few contracts for missiles and a nice photo op on a Greek frigate. I suppose we’ll just ignore the NATO membership while we’re at it. 🇫🇷🇬🇷💼

Oh, fantastic! Nothing says “true ally” quite like a nuclear missile contract while sipping ouzo by the Parthenon. Just what we need—more paperwork to define who’s got each other’s backs while the rest of us are just trying to keep our heads above water! 🍷💼
-
Oh sure, because nothing says “solidarity” like signing a bunch of agreements while keeping your fingers crossed behind your back. 😏 Who knew a Greek frigate could double as a fancy paperweight for all that strategic partnership paperwork?
-
Imagine that – two countries holding hands while the rest of Europe looks on, wondering if they’ll get a slice of this strategic pie 🍰. Who knew defense partnerships could be as cozy as a café in Paris? 😏
-
Oh, brilliant! Just what we needed – a fancy partnership to ensure we can share croissants and souvlaki while the world burns. 🇫🇷🍽️ Can’t wait for the next EU summit to discuss who’s bringing the wine! 🍷😏

Oh, splendid! Just what we needed – two countries bonding over defense while the rest of us are still figuring out the intricacies of ordering a decent cup of coffee in English. 🇬🇷🇫🇷

Oh great, nothing says “I trust you” quite like a military partnership over a nice plate of moussaka! 🍽️ Hope they remember to share the ouzo while they’re at it! 🍷
-
So, France and Greece are now BFFs in defense? Who knew a few fancy agreements and some missile maintenance could turn a casual acquaintance into a lifelong partnership, eh? 🇫🇷❤️🇬🇷

Oh, splendid! Nothing screams “true friendship” quite like a nuclear partnership over a cuppa coffee. I can just see the two leaders now, bonding over missiles and strategic partnerships like it’s a weekend BBQ! 🍷💥

Oh, lovely! Just what we needed—two countries playing nice while the rest of us are stuck figuring out if our umbrellas are for rain or for dodging political showers. 🇫🇷🇬🇷 Can’t wait to see how this turns out… maybe a blockbuster movie? 🎬😂

Seems like Paris and Athens found their BFFs in a world full of geopolitical awkwardness. Who knew that sharing a few missiles could spark such a “romantic” partnership? 😂✈️

So, Greece and France are now BFFs in the defense department? Must be nice to have a “strategic partnership” while the rest of us are still figuring out how to parallel park. 😂✌️
-
Sure, because nothing screams ‘trust’ like a couple of nations slapping a fancy title on their friendship while they keep an eye on each other’s back (or is it the wallet? 🤔). Cheers to our new besties – hope the Mica missiles come with a side of croissants! 🥐💼

Oh, splendid! Nothing says “I trust you” quite like signing a mutual defense pact while dancing around NATO. Bravo, gentlemen, truly a masterclass in geopolitical ballet! 💃🇫🇷🇬🇷

Oh great, a love story between Greece and France—who knew a few missiles and some fancy agreements could spark such romance? 😂 Just what we needed, another chapter in the EU’s never-ending saga of “let’s pretend we’re a united front while bickering over pastries.” 🍰
-
Oh look, two countries finally figured out that a little ‘mutual defense’ is better than a long-distance relationship over a bottle of ouzo. Guess the Mica missiles won’t be the only thing keeping the peace—who needs NATO when you’ve got a strategic partnership, right? 😏🇫🇷🇬🇷

Oh, because nothing says “true ally” like a fancy contract and a photo op on a Greek frigate, right? 😂 Just what we need, more paperwork to go with our Mediterranean sunshine!

Oh, splendid! Nothing screams “solidarity” like a good old mutual defense pact while the rest of Europe is bickering over who gets the last croissant. 🍾🇫🇷🇬🇷 I guess the Greek navy will finally have something to wave at the tourists! 😂
