Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington on Wednesday to discuss American negotiations with Iran, according to a statement from Netanyahu’s office issued late Saturday.
“The prime minister emphasizes that all negotiations should address the limitation of ballistic missiles and the cessation of support for the Iranian axis,” the statement said, referring to Tehran’s backing of militant groups such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Palestinian territories. Trump and Netanyahu previously met in December.
Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign minister issued a threat against U.S. military bases in the region.
