This decision was confirmed by the local PS (Parti Socialiste) on November 26, 2024. Ben Hamou is known for her dedication to social justice and housing policies, and in her new role, she will focus on local issues, using her expertise to help shape the city’s future.

Anaïs Maes will keep her job overseeing Urban Development and Public Space, and she will also take care of Mobility and Dutch-language Education.
