
Skopje – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, engaged in a meeting with Thomas Waitz, the Permanent Rapporteur of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee for North Macedonia. They focused on the country’s progress in European integration, upcoming steps in the accession process, and ways to enhance cooperation with the European Parliament.
Mucunski highlighted the Government’s strong dedication to advancing the European path through a robust reform process in key areas, boosting economic capabilities, and enhancing citizens’ living standards. He also pointed out the importance of improving relations with neighboring countries, emphasizing a commitment to fostering mutual respect and trust, as shared on Facebook.
The Minister expressed gratitude to Waitz for his ongoing efforts and the open collaboration aimed at promoting North Macedonia’s Euro-integration process.
Both participants underscored the significance of maintaining a constructive dialogue with the European Parliament at all levels and the necessity to deepen cooperation to advance shared interests and secure ongoing support for the country’s European perspective, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
