Karlstad – Sweden’s Minister of Enterprise, Ebba Busch, has issued a warning to Swedish businesses considering shifting their operations to the United States in an effort to evade tariffs.
“Relocating to a nation led by such an unpredictable leader poses significant risks for a company’s future,” Busch remarked.
“Our message is clear: Stay in Sweden.”
Busch further commented on the current situation with China imposing a 34 percent tariff on American products, calling it “extremely unfortunate.”
“This is the outcome of initiating a trade war,” she added.
When asked about the EU’s potential response to the United States, Busch stated:
“There will be countermeasures, but we will approach this collectively within the EU. Our aim is to protect Swedish import goods as much as we can.”
She anticipates that the uncertainty surrounding President Donald Trump and his administration will persist.
