Mickoski: I understand Kos, he had to pass the hearing where MEPs from our eastern neighbor also vote

Skopje – I understand the EU Commissioner, she had to pass the hearing in which even the MEPs from our eastern neighbor had to vote, and that is within that dimension. I think that through that perspective she saw those messages and I see those messages through that perspective. I am convinced that in the period to come, through joint discussions, finally, after 2.5 decades, the path of Macedonia to full EU membership will be widely open and will be valued based on achievements and competencies, not because of bilateral issues. I am convinced that we will succeed, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski regarding the statement of EU Commissioner Marta Kos, according to which the country should implement constitutional changes.

Answering journalists’ questions, Mickoski stated that “it must not and will not be,” and this optimism is based, as he pointed out, on all the meetings so far with relevant world leaders, carried out in the past almost five months.

The talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in Budapest were qualified by the Prime Minister as a substantial dialogue in which they did not only discuss Macedonian EU integration.

– Besides the issues related to the EU integration of our country, we also talked about cooperation in the economy, we have many projects in infrastructure, healthcare that are important to us and that we as a government can implement, communication continues, that day we often had the opportunity to be together and talk about many open topics, Mickoski emphasized after reviewing the construction works on three sections near Veles.
