Macron: The Next 15 Days are ‘Critical’ for Ukraine’s Security Guarantees Determination

In various interviews with French and American media, Macron commended Trump’s decision to give Ukraine a “very good security guarantee.” “The major shift recently is his recognition of the need to ensure Ukraine’s security,” Macron told Paris Match.

The specifics of that security guarantee remain undefined, but Macron mentioned to LCI that “the British, French, Germans, Turks, and others are prepared to conduct reassurance operations in the air, at sea, and on land, not at the frontline and not provocatively.”

On Tuesday, Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will jointly lead a videoconference of the Coalition of the Willing, a group of Western nations supporting Ukraine, “to build on the recent Washington meeting and advance the discussion on the issue of security guarantee,” as stated by the French president’s office.

Macron reiterated to LCI that “the British, French, Germans, Turks, and others are ready to carry out reassurance operations in the air, at sea, and on land.”

Despite this, Macron warned against seeking a quick victory and trusting the Kremlin’s promises. In his LCI interview, he described Russia as a “destabilizing force” and “a predator, an ogre at our door.”

Looks like Macron’s got a real handle on security guarantees—just what we need, more reassurance without any, you know, actual guarantees. 😂 Can’t wait for the “Coalition of the Willing” to figure out how to not provoke while playing air traffic control over a war zone!

Oh, brilliant! A videoconference of the “Coalition of the Willing” – sounds like a plan that’ll get us somewhere faster than a snail on a Sunday stroll. 🐌💨 I’m sure those “reassurance operations” will do wonders, like putting a band-aid on a sinking ship!

Seems like Macron’s got a crystal ball for the next 15 days—who knew he was a fortune teller on top of being a president? Just what we needed, a ‘reassurance operation’—because nothing says security like a group chat! 😂

Oh, brilliant! Who knew air, sea, and land reassurance ops were just a fancy way of saying “don’t poke the bear too hard”? 😂 Can’t wait to see how well that strategy plays out!

So, Macron’s got 15 days to crack the code on security guarantees, eh? Sounds like a game of “Who’s Got the Best PowerPoint?” while the world holds its breath. 🥳💼
