
Sarajevo (Fena) – During a meeting with the Group of Friends of Ambassadors from Western Balkan countries, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Borjana Krišto, reaffirmed that Bosnia and Herzegovina’s membership in the European Union is the nation’s primary strategic goal and a key focus of its foreign policy.
Krišto noted that Bosnia and Herzegovina embodies the core values of the European Union and remains dedicated to democracy, reinforcing the rule of law, safeguarding and promoting human rights, fostering solidarity, and enhancing political dialogue and cooperation with both EU member states and regional nations.
She emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina will persist in its efforts to address outstanding obligations and reforms necessary for its European journey, ensuring that it meets the conditions to initiate official negotiations and convene an Intergovernmental Conference.
The meeting concluded with an agreement that regional cooperation and maintaining positive neighborly relations are essential foreign policy objectives and strategic priorities for Bosnia and Herzegovina. These aspects are also critical to the Stabilization and Association Process with the European Union. The country is committed to promoting peace, stability, security, economic collaboration, and shared prosperity in the region, recognizing these elements as crucial for future progress, as stated by VMBiH.
