Kremlin: Prepared to Receive Tehran’s Uranium, Mediate Conflict

Moscow (Eurotoday Newspaper) – The Kremlin said Monday that Moscow’s earlier plan to keep Iranian uranium in Russia is still on the table and that Russia is still willing to mediate the dispute between Israel and Iran.

Is Russia still committed to mediating Israel-Iran tensions?Could Putin and Trump jointly broker a ceasefire?

Russia stated last week that it was prepared to transfer highly enriched uranium from Iran and turn it into fuel for civilian reactors as a possible solution to defuse the situation before Israel began attacks on the Islamic Republic.

“This proposal remains on the table, it remains relevant. But, of course, with the outbreak of hostilities, the situation has become seriously complicated,”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated.

Peskov stated that Russia was still prepared to arbitrate if necessary, but that the military attacks were taking the situation to a completely new level and that the conflict’s underlying roots needed to be addressed and eradicated.

“Russia remains ready to do everything necessary to eliminate the root causes of this crisis,”

Peskov said.

“But the situation is escalating more than seriously, and, of course, this is not affecting the situation for the better.”

How does Kremlin view Israel’s regime change remakrs?

Peskov said the Kremlin has watched Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments on Fox News on Sunday that Israel’s military strikes in Iran may lead to regime change.

“You know that we condemn those actions that have led to such a dangerous escalation of tension in the region,”

Peskov said.

“And secondly, we also note a significant consolidation of society in Iran against the background of the bombing that is currently being carried out by the Israeli side.”

Could Putin and Trump jointly broker a ceasefire?

Additionally, U.S. President Donald Trump blank”>said Sunday that he was hopeful for peace and mentioned that Russian President Vladimir Putin could be able to assist. Trump urged the two nations to reach an agreement, claiming that several discussions over the matter were taking place without providing specifics. He stated that he was willing to act as a mediator with Putin, whose troops invaded Ukraine and who has opposed Trump’s efforts to negotiate a truce with Kyiv.
