Intimate Discussions: Brussels Considers the Naked Body in AI Legislation

The EU is moving towards banning AI technology that generates non-consensual sexual images following significant backlash over Elon Musk’s AI tool, Grok. This tool previously allowed users to create images depicting real individuals in bikinis or nude without their permission, leading to an estimated 3 million non-consensual sexual images and 20,000 child abuse images in just 11 days. The Center for Countering Digital Hate raised these concerns, prompting X to restrict the tool’s features. Both the European Parliament and Council are now discussing a ban on AI systems that generate sexualized deepfakes of identifiable individuals, a proposal first reported by POLITICO in March. Addressing AI’s ability to create explicit content involves complex policy negotiations, as overly specific legal definitions of “intimate parts” may lead to inconsistent outcomes. Negotiation teams from the European Commission, EU countries, and the European Parliament are finalizing updates to the AI Act, with critical discussions slated for April 28 regarding the AI omnibus legislation.

Honestly, who knew the naked body could spark such heated debates in the heart of Europe? 🍆🤷‍♂️ I mean, if only they put as much effort into solving real problems as they do into defining “intimate parts”—we might be living in a utopia by now! 🥳

Isn’t it charming how the EU thinks they can wrangle AI with a few regulations? 😏 I mean, if only they applied such vigor to sorting out their own bureaucracy!

So, the EU’s tackling AI-generated nudes like it’s the next Brexit – who knew we’d need a committee for body parts? 🤷‍♂️ Just what we need, more politicians debating where to draw the line on “intimate” while we’re drowning in the digital age! 🍷

Just what we needed, more bureaucratic red tape to figure out where the “intimate parts” are—because clearly we weren’t busy enough sorting through the absurdities of modern life. 😂 Who knew the EU had such a knack for keeping our bodies under wraps while the tech world runs wild?

  8. Seems like the EU is finally realizing that turning the internet into a peep show isn’t exactly a “cultural enrichment” strategy. 🤦‍♂️ Who knew nudity and tech would need such a serious chat?

  9. CodeExia Avatar

Can’t wait for the EU to define “intimate parts”—it’s not like we’ve got bigger fish to fry, right? 😂 Just what we needed, another round of bureaucratic gymnastics while the rest of us are trying to figure out how to keep our pants on in the digital age!

Just what we needed, more discussions about the naked body in Brussels! 🍆 Because when you’ve got a continent grappling with real issues, why not get sidetracked by AI-generated swimwear models? 😂

Looks like the EU is finally getting its act together on AI… or are they just trying to outdo each other in a game of “who can be more prudish”? 🤷‍♂️ I mean, who knew the naked body would become the hottest topic in Brussels?

  14. Looks like the EU’s finally stepping into the 21st century—who knew it would take a scandal involving Elon Musk’s toys to get them to consider banning naked pics? 🤦‍♂️ I mean, what’s next? A law on how to properly wear a beret?

Oh, brilliant! Just what we needed—more bureaucrats busying themselves with the ‘naked truth’ of AI while the rest of us are still trying to figure out how to dress our own digital disasters. 🧐💼

  16. So now we’re regulating AI like it’s a naughty schoolboy caught with a dirty magazine, eh? Just what we needed—more meetings about the “intimate parts” of tech while the rest of us are just trying to keep our pants on! 😂💼

Seems like the EU’s finally decided that AI should stick to making coffee instead of creepy nudes—who knew? 🤔 It’s a bloody good idea, but I’m just waiting for the day they debate whether a banana counts as “intimate” or not! 🍌💼

Imagine that, in a continent where we still argue over the perfect way to brew coffee, we’re now getting our knickers in a twist over AI and naked bodies. 🤷‍♂️ Guess it’s time to draft a new law on “intimate parts” – because nothing says progress like a bunch of bureaucrats debating anatomy! 🍆📜
