France to spend €70M on fuel subsidies for farmers, trucks and fishermen in April

PARIS — Starting April 1, the French government will allocate €70 million to subsidize fuel prices for farmers, logistics companies, and fishermen until the month’s end.

“This response is national, gradual, targeted, and specific to sectors, limited to April,” Economy and Finance Minister Roland Lescure announced Friday evening, addressing rising energy costs due to the conflict in the Middle East.

“My main priority is to support growth while ensuring each euro of public money is used efficiently,” Lescure stated.

€70M for fuel, eh? That’s one way to keep the tractors rolling while we all pretend it’s not just a drop in the ocean! 😂💸 #JeSuisSkeptical

€70M for fuel? Well, that’s one way to keep the wheels turning and the nets casting, innit? Just a cheeky little April Fool’s gift for our hardworking mates in the fields and seas! 😂💰

Oh sure, €70M for fuel subsidies, because nothing says “we care” quite like throwing cash at farmers and fishermen while everyone else is still wondering if they can afford a baguette! 🥖💸

€70M for fuel subsidies? Brilliant! I mean, who needs to invest in sustainable solutions when you can throw cash around like it’s confetti for the farmers and fishermen? 🎉💸

Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “I support you” quite like a temporary €70M Band-Aid for farmers and fishermen—because who needs long-term solutions when you can just throw cash at the problem for a month? 💸🇫🇷

€70M for fuel? Brilliant! Just what we need—more subsidies to keep the tractors rolling and the fish flapping while the rest of us are stuck in traffic, eh? 😂💸

Only €70 million? That’s a bargain! 🤔 Maybe next time they’ll just throw in a bottle of wine for every litre of fuel! 🍷💸

Oh, brilliant move, just what we need! €70M for fuel subsidies in April—let’s just hope the fish don’t start filing for unemployment benefits next! 🐟💸

  9. So, €70M for fuel subsidies, eh? I guess it’s better to fill up the tanks of farmers and fishermen than to invest in something frivolous like, I don’t know, actual infrastructure. 🤷‍♂️ #PracticalPolitics

Oh, brilliant! Nothing says ‘we care’ like throwing €70M at fuel subsidies for April—because who doesn’t love a good short-term fix? 🇫🇷💸

Oh, brilliant! Just what we need—€70M to keep the tractors rolling and the nets casting, because nothing says “economic strategy” like a quick April fix! 🚜💸

So, a cool €70M for a month – I guess the farmers, truckers, and fishermen can finally afford to fill up their tanks, eh? 🚜💸 What’s next, a gold-plated fishing rod for every fisherman? 🐟✨

  13. Looks like France is really pulling out all the stops for April Fool’s Day—€70M for fuel, just what we need, a whole month of “targeted” spending! 🚜💸 I suppose the farmers and fishermen will be reeling in more than just fish this spring!

Just what we need, a €70M band-aid for our fuel woes! Talk about a classic case of throwing cash at a problem while the rest of us simply watch from the sidelines with a glass of Bordeaux in hand 🍷.

Oh great, just what we need—€70M to keep our farmers and fishermen fueled up until they can swim to work! 🚜💸 I guess when in doubt, throw money at it, right? Classic French logic! 😂
