The two officials urged Arcom, in collaboration with the European Commission, to ensure social media companies comply with the Digital Services Act. This includes safeguarding minors, assessing and reducing systemic risks, and maintaining transparency about algorithm operations. Arcom and TikTok did not respond to POLITICO’s request for comment.
