FENA Unveils Bosnia and Herzegovina’s First EU-Focused Media Portal

Sarajevo (Fena) – The Federal News Agency has launched the first media portal in Bosnia and Herzegovina dedicated to the EU. The website Eu.fena.ba aims to keep the public informed about Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU accession process and related topics, including EU institutions, regulations, internal organization, and the Union’s actions on a global scale.

-FENA is a public media organization that recognizes the informational needs of the state, society, and the public. As EU accession is a strategic goal for Bosnia and Herzegovina, we believe it’s crucial to provide citizens with clear, precise, and comprehensive information about this process and the EU itself. We hope all institutions in BiH, local communities, businesses, and others interested in EU integration and adopting EU standards will take advantage of the opportunities our new site offers, stated FENA’s director, Elvir Hadžiahmetović.

The new media platform will primarily feature news, photographs, and video content from FENA’s general service.

** Our main focus will be on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s integration into the EU, the steps being taken towards this goal, and the necessary reforms. We will also address challenges encountered along this path. However, we see our primary mission as informing and educating citizens about the significance of EU membership and the benefits of this integration for Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighted the editor-in-chief of FENA and the portal  eu.fena.ba, Dejan Jazvić.

The EU Ambassador, Luigi Soreca, congratulated FENA on the new EU portal launch, emphasizing that citizens should clearly understand the implications of European integration. He noted that while the accession process will be challenging, it will enhance institutions, the economy, and standards in BiH, with the new portal serving as an essential guide throughout its various stages.
