Serbian prosecutors have announced the arrest of Momirović and other suspects who are believed to have inflated invoices issued by two Chinese companies involved in the railway station renovation. The corrupt activities allegedly led to a $115.6 million loss in public funds, with the Chinese consortium gaining at least $18.8 million by inflating invoices. These arrests follow indictments from December which included former Minister Goran Vesić for public safety offenses and improper construction work. Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić insists on accountability for those involved but faces ongoing mass protests demanding early elections, despite campaigns to deter public demonstrations.

Corruption in Serbia? Shocking! Next, they’ll tell us the sun rises in the east. 😂💸

Just another day in the Balkans, where inflating invoices is as common as a morning coffee ☕️ – who knew public service could be so lucrative? #JustBusinessAsUsual
-
Just what we needed, another episode of “Who Can Inflate the Invoice Better?” in our delightful political circus. 🎪💸 I suppose it’s just a typical Tuesday in Serbia when public funds turn into a game of Monopoly for the elite.

Just lovely, isn’t it? Nothing like a bit of railway renovation to boost the economy – and by boost, I mean line the pockets of a few, while the rest of us just wait for the next train to nowhere. 🚆💸

Typical, isn’t it? Just when you think the railway station couldn’t possibly derail any further, along comes a minister to prove you wrong. 🚂💸
-
Looks like our dear ex-minister took the train to jail instead of the station renovations, eh? 🚂💸 Classic case of “inflating” more than just the invoices, I suppose!
-
Just what we needed, a few more characters for the “Serbian soap opera” starring our beloved politicians! 🎭 Who knew railway renovations could be so profitable? Talk about taking the express route to jail! 🚂💸
-
Just what we needed, another classic Serbian comedy of errors – nothing like turning a railway station into a money-laundering hub! 🚂💰 Guess the only thing getting transported here is corruption!
-
Just what we needed, a masterclass in how to turn a railway renovation into a shambles! 💸 Guess the only thing moving faster than the trains was the money out of our pockets! 🚂💨

Just another day in the Serbian circus, where inflating invoices is the new Olympic sport. 🤡 At least we know who to thank for the railway delays—seems like they took a wrong turn at honesty!
-
Oh, look at that, a classic case of “let’s make a fortune from public works!” Who knew renovating a station could lead to a ticket to jail instead of a first-class ticket to Berlin? 😂💸
-
Oh, just a casual day in the office for Serbian politicians—who knew inflating invoices could lead to such high-flying profits? 🤷♂️ Only in the Balkans, where every renovation comes with a side of scandal and a dash of chaos! 🍷
-
Just what we needed, another plot twist in the Serbian soap opera—who knew railway renovations could lead to such high drama? 🚂💸 Maybe next time they’ll just hire a magician instead of a contractor!
-
Seems like the only thing moving faster than those trains are the corrupt officials! 🚆💸 Maybe they should’ve spent more time reading the fine print instead of inflating invoices, eh? 😂
-
Just what we needed—a railway renovation that got derailed into a comedy of errors. 🤦♂️ Who knew inflating invoices could be more popular than a cup of coffee in Belgrade?
