Inverters convert the electricity from solar panels into a current that integrates with the grid, with Huawei being a market leader in this technology.

Concerns have recently arisen regarding Huawei’s dominance in the solar technology market.
Foreign interference risks in clean energy networks include manipulation of electricity production, disruption of generation, and unauthorized data access, potentially leading to nationwide blackouts, McGarry stated Monday.
The ban affects suppliers from China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran, with Chinese suppliers holding a significant market share in solar inverters, according to an EU official.
The revised Cybersecurity Act aims to address these risks in the medium term. Beijing recently threatened retaliation over efforts to limit Chinese suppliers in the EU market.
