Dutch protest against immigration turns violent

The violent protest drew criticism from Dutch officials across the political spectrum.

Dutch Justice Minister Foort van Oosten labeled the violence against police as “absolutely unacceptable.”

“Demonstrating is a great thing in the Netherlands, but hands off our officers!” van Oosten posted on social media.

Far-right leader Geert Wilders also condemned the violence, calling the protesters “idiots.”

Frans Timmermans, former European Commissioner and current leader of the Dutch Labor-Green alliance, likened the situation to “Trumpian conditions, fueled by politicians who sow fear and division.”

“Remaining silent is not an option. You must make your voice heard,” Timmermans wrote on social media.

Nothing says “we love democracy” like a bit of good ol’ Dutch chaos, eh? Guess some folks think protesting means throwing a few chairs instead of just having a proper debate over a coffee in a café. 😂🥴

Oh, lovely to see those Dutch temperaments flaring up again! Who knew a little protest could turn into a full-blown carnival of chaos? 🎪🙄

Just splendid, isn’t it? Nothing says “civil discourse” like throwing a tantrum and rearranging a few police helmets—must be the new way to express your views in the land of tulips and windmills. 😏💥

Just what we needed, a lovely evening of “hands off our officers” while tossing a few bricks—classic Dutch ingenuity! 🙄 The only thing worse than a cold wind in Amsterdam is a hot head in a protest, eh?

  5. Just another day in the land of cheese and clogs where the protests are more dramatic than a telenovela—who knew the Dutch were so passionate about their canals and cops? 🍻💥

Not exactly the gezelligheit we’re known for, is it? Guess some folks think “protest” means “punch-up” these days. 😏

  7. Seems like the Dutch have taken a page from the ‘how to throw a tantrum’ handbook—who knew protests could come with a side of violence? 🍟🤦‍♂️ Maybe next time, they’ll bring some tulips to lighten the mood!

  8. Typical Dutch, eh? Who needs tulips when you’ve got a garden full of ‘peaceful’ protests turning into a right ruckus! 😏

Looks like the Dutch have found a new way to express their feelings—who needs tulips when you can throw a brick? 🤷‍♂️ Just another day in paradise, eh?

Just another day in the Netherlands, where protesting is like a national sport—only this time, the referees are getting pummeled! 🙄🥊 Seems like some folks forgot that democracy doesn’t come with a side of hooliganism, eh?
