Sint-Niklaas (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Bpost will move Beveren and Temse distribution centres to Sint-Niklaas in 2026. Spokesperson Mathieu Goedefroy says the modern Europark-Noord centre will improve efficiency and support electric vans by 2030.
As VRT News reported, Bpost will move its distribution centres from Beveren and Temse to a larger facility in Sint-Niklaas next year. Postal workers now go to Beveren and Temse to collect and sort mail for residents in Beveren, Kruibeke, and Temse.
After the move, all mail and parcel operations for these areas will be handled in Sint-Niklaas. The new centre in Europark-Noord is bigger and designed to manage higher volumes. Bpost says the current locations cannot expand parking or logistics space.
“The current buildings in Beveren and Temse are very outdated,”
explains Bpost spokesperson Mathieu Goedefroy.
“In addition, there’s very little parking for the mail trucks.”
What is Bpost’s plan for moving the Beveren and Temse Centres to Sint-Niklaas?
According to officials, the move also supports Bpost’s plan to switch to fully electric parcel delivery by 2030. Parcel numbers continue to grow each year. The Sint-Niklaas centre can provide the space and infrastructure needed for this expansion.
“We’re currently constructing a completely new building there to accommodate the arrival of postal workers from Beveren and Temse,”
Goedefroy continues.
It will be a modern building, equipped with the latest technology.”
Officials mentioned that residents of Beveren and Temse do not need to worry about Bpost’s planned relocation of its distribution centres. The move only affects the sorting and logistics operations, not the local post offices.
Bpost confirmed that a physical post office will remain open in every municipality. Customers can still go to the existing counters in Beveren and Temse. Mail delivery will not be affected. If someone is not home to receive a package, it will not be sent to Sint-Niklaas.
There are also multiple postal points and parcel vending machines where residents can pick up their parcels, just as they do now. Bpost plans to add even more collection points in the future to make parcel pick-up easier.
The sorting centre in Zwijndrecht will continue to operate as usual for the foreseeable future. The exact timing of the Beveren and Temse relocation is not yet clear, but it is expected to take place in 2026.
“However, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our services. So, it’s not out of the question that something might change there in the medium term as well,”
concludes Goedefroy.
Bpost has carried out similar modernisation projects in the past. In early 2024, the company moved its operations from Schaerbeek to a new, larger distribution

So, Bpost is moving to Sint-Niklaas, eh? I guess they fancy living in a “modern” building while leaving the old ones to the pigeons. 🕊️🚚

Moving the Bpost distribution centers to Sint-Niklaas is just what we needed—because who doesn’t love a good road trip with their parcels? 🚚💨 Guess we’ll just call it “modern efficiency,” while the old centers gather dust like forgotten souvenirs in grandma’s attic.

Isn’t it charming how Bpost is relocating to Sint-Niklaas just in time for the next century? 🚚💨 Guess they finally figured out that a modern facility beats sorting mail in a dusty old shed. 🤷♂️

So, Bpost is moving to Sint-Niklaas because Beveren and Temse were obviously too “retro” for modern logistics. Can’t wait to see the “latest technology” they’ve got—maybe a carrier pigeon or two? 🕊️😂

Seems like Bpost is really stepping up its game by moving to Sint-Niklaas; because who doesn’t want to drive an extra ten minutes just to sort their parcels in a shiny new building? 🚚💨 How very avant-garde of them!

Oh, brilliant, nothing says “efficiency” quite like relocating to a shiny new warehouse while the locals twiddle their thumbs wondering if their post will arrive on time. 🚚💨 Just what we needed—more traffic in Sint-Niklaas and fewer parking spots in Beveren! 😂

So, Bpost is off to Sint-Niklaas, eh? Must be nice to swap outdated digs for a shiny new spot while pretending it’s all about “efficiency” and “electric vans” – because we all know how much our postal workers love a good road trip! 🚚💨

Just what we needed, another shiny new building in Sint-Niklaas to remind us that efficiency is just a fancy word for parking your vans in style. 🚚💨 Can’t wait for the grand opening—maybe they’ll serve waffles and attach a “modern” price tag to our beloved mail!
-
Guess they finally realized that cramming mail trucks into a shoe box doesn’t scream efficiency. I mean, who wouldn’t want to drive all the way to Sint-Niklaas for the pleasure of more parking space? 🚐💨

Moving to Sint-Niklaas, eh? Because nothing says “modern efficiency” like relocating two outdated centres to a place that sounds like it could use a good espresso! ☕🚚
-
Oh, splendid! Just what we needed—more traffic in Sint-Niklaas while they pretend upgrading a distribution centre is akin to building a new Louvre. 🚚💨

Brilliant move, really! Because who wouldn’t want to add an extra dash of adventure to their mail sorting by sending it all to Sint-Niklaas? 🚚💨 Just what we needed, a little bit of a logistical road trip! 😂

Moving to Sint-Niklaas? Brilliant! Nothing screams efficiency quite like relocating to a place that sounds like it could be a contestant in a ‘most confusing municipality’ contest. 🚚💨

So, Bpost’s moving Beveren and Temse to Sint-Niklaas, eh? Sounds like they’re just playing musical chairs with parcels, but at least now we can pretend our mail will arrive in style. 🚚💨

Moving the whole shebang to Sint-Niklaas? Brilliant! Because who wouldn’t want to drive an extra 30 minutes for the privilege of sorting mail in a “modern” building? 🚚💨

Who knew relocating a post office would require the logistics of a military operation? Next stop, Sint-Niklaas: the new epicenter of high-speed mail delivery and… electric vans? ⚡️📦
