Sarajevo, (Fena) – The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has appointed members to the Coordination Desk for the EU’s Action Programme in health – the EU4Health Programme.
With the establishment of the Coordination Desk, we aim to lay the groundwork for our health sector to engage as an equal partner in European programmes, ultimately leading to strengthened capacities, modernized services, and enhanced preparedness for public health challenges.
The Desk will play a vital role in promoting the EU4Health Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina, offering advisory support to potential applicants and fostering cooperation and information exchange among relevant institutions and partners at both national and European levels.
The EU4Health Programme serves as the primary financial tool of the European Union in health, featuring a total budget of 4.4 billion euros for the 2021 to 2027 period.
This Programme aims to enhance health system capacities, improve prevention and crisis readiness, and increase access to health services.
Bosnia and Herzegovina engages in this Programme through the Association Agreement signed on July 23, 2024, in Brussels. (29.12.)
