At Least 24 Killed in Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza in New Truce Test

On Saturday, Israeli airstrikes in Gaza resulted in at least 24 deaths and 54 injuries, including children, according to health officials, as reported by the Associated Press. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated they conducted attacks targeting Hamas across the Gaza Strip following an incident where an “armed terrorist” crossed into an Israeli-controlled area and fired at troops in southern Gaza, though no casualties were reported. These strikes are part of the ongoing escalation of violence since the ceasefire began last month.
