5. Kenyon’s past social media posts remain problematic
Other debate participants criticized Kenyon—a plumber who ran for Reform UK in the 2024 general election—regarding his controversial online remarks about women, the Ukraine conflict, and social policies.
Reform UK has defended Kenyon, emphasizing that the comments were made prior to his political career.

On Thursday, Kenyon claimed his statements were “completely taken out of context,” asserting: “I was raised by women. I have nothing but respect for women.”
However, Green candidate Sarah Wakefield mentioned speaking to presenter Carol Vorderman on Thursday morning after reports surfaced that Kenyon made a sexualized remark about the broadcaster in 2021.
