Flemish Government Boosts Purchasing Power for 30,000 Custom Work Company Employees

Brussels (Eurotoday): The Flemish government, led by Minister Hilde Crevits, supports 30,000 employees in customs work for companies through purchasing power. This support is part of the VIA6 agreement, from 2021 to 2025, such as an eco voucher of up to €250 annually for 2025 and 2026.

The one-time purchasing power increase is derived from the VIA6 agreement signed in 2021 by the Flemish government and social sectors for the years 2021 to 2025. This agreement seeks to enhance the working conditions and financial position of employees in the sectors. An important aspect of the deal is the blank” rel=”noopener”>purchasing power increase for employees in sheltered workshops, which are also known as custom work companies. Such centres support disabled people or anyone with any long-term illnesses struggling to find a job. The increase is supposed to aid these workers with rising living costs.

How will Hilde Crevits’ plan enhance purchasing power for 30,000 custom work employees?

Hilde Crevits, the Flemish Minister of Social Economy, has announced a new plan to help around 30,000 workers in customs work companies in Flanders. These workers often deal with tough situations, so this support is a big step toward fairness. The Flemish government is increasing their purchasing power, keeping its promise from the VIA6 agreement to improve the social economy. It has been said that this move shows that the government cares about helping those who are struggling and highlights how important custom work companies are for a fair job market.

According to Minister Crevits, a fair job market can be achieved through the customs sector. The increase in purchasing power is not only financial support but also a boost for workers. For this purpose, social partners will form a binding agreement for all sheltered workshops. This plan will receive an additional eco voucher of up to 250 euros annually for the next two years, 2025 and 2026.

Oh, splendid! They’re handing out eco vouchers like candy now—what a revolutionary way to tackle the cost of living crisis! 🍬 Next, they’ll be giving us a free ride in a taxi to get to our new jobs at the custom work companies, right? 😂

Seems like the Flemish government has finally decided to sprinkle a bit of cash on the custom work crowd—how generous! 🤔 I guess those eco vouchers will really help them afford, what, two extra pintjes at the pub? 🍻
