Poland Suspects Foreign Involvement in Arson Attack on Drone Plant

A fire erupted shortly after midnight at a Polish drone plant and was extinguished within about two hours due to the swift response of an employee and the fire service. There were no injuries, but a small facility was damaged, as reported by WB Electronics.

This incident occurs amid suspected attacks on critical infrastructure linked to European military support for Ukraine, with Western authorities increasingly blaming Russia.

Earlier this month, an explosive-laden drone was found near a Ukrainian cargo plane at Leipzig/Halle Airport, a key hub for military supplies to Ukraine. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is anticipated to reveal Berlin’s response to Moscow soon.

Prosecutors from the Kraków branch of Poland’s National Prosecutor’s Office suspect that “a device containing flammable materials” was placed on the premises, possibly involving “a foreign intelligence service” targeting Poland.

The suspected arsonist is still at large.

Seems like our neighbors have taken a page from the ‘how to win friends and influence people’ playbook, eh? 🔥 Maybe next time they’ll just send a postcard instead of an explosive! 😏
