Erdogan Announces Start of Turkish Century

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the start of a new era for a “great and strong Turkey” during a speech in Ahlat, eastern Turkey, expressing that Syria, Iraq, and the entire region would progress towards increased peace and stability.

Erdogan encouraged Turks, Kurds, and Arabs to unite as “brothers” and criticized unnamed forces for attempting to destabilize Turkey and the region.

He stated that those exploiting terrorism or causing instability would be defeated, without identifying specific entities, as reported by Kathimerini.

“We are well aware of your plans,” Erdogan declared, emphasizing that Turkey has its own strategies and will remain on its chosen path.

He asserted that peace, stability, and brotherhood will prevail, proclaiming that the “Turkish Century” has commenced.

Erdogan highlighted that the country’s 86 million citizens will gain from this “new era for Turkey” despite ongoing instability in neighboring Syria and Iraq.
