Farage Calls for Lowe Aide’s Dismissal as Condition for Reform-Restore Negotiations

On Monday, the possibility of the two opposing groups reaching a reconciliation seemed stalled.

During a press conference in Westminster, Farage announced a new stipulation for engaging in discussions with what he called “that party,” referring to Restore. He insisted that Lowe must expel Restore’s co-founder, which Lowe has already refused to do.

“I’m always happy to meet people and talk to people — within reason,” Farage said when POLITICO inquired about his terms for negotiating with Lowe.

“But I do think it’s fair to say that there are one or two people in the orbit of the upper echelons of that party who, if I sat down and talked to, I think our members and our voters would be utterly shocked that I’d done it,” he added.

“So we can talk to Rupert Lowe — that’s fine. But when you have co-founders, etcetera, putting out what I would call the ‘old theory’ — the old theory that we probably haven’t heard in this country since 1936 — and you have other adjacent publicly-supportive people demanding that all Jews be removed from the country, just as an example…

“So the condition I would put on it is those people would have to be out of the inner circle — and I think that for me would be the only way we could sensibly proceed.”

Seems like Farage’s negotiation tactics are straight out of a sitcom—demanding a co-founder’s head on a platter before discussing anything. 🤷‍♂️ Talk about high-stakes diplomacy!

Just what we needed—more demands in a negotiation that’s already a circus. Can’t wait for the next episode of “Who Can Out-Insult Whom?” 🎪

Isn’t it charming how Farage thinks he can just toss out terms like a kid throwing toys out of a pram? 🧸 Maybe next he’ll demand a unicorn to negotiate – as if that would make any difference! 😂

What a brilliant strategy, Nigel! Who knew that being a gatekeeper for political discourse was the new way to win hearts and minds? 🥳 #Progress #YouCouldntMakeItUp

Quite the masterclass in negotiation, isn’t it? Asking for a game of chess while the other side is still sorting out their checkers. 🎭🧐

Seems like Farage has really raised the bar for political negotiations—next, he’ll want a background check on everyone’s tea preferences! ☕️🤦‍♂️

Looks like Farage’s negotiating skills are on par with a toddler’s tantrum—demanding the dismissal of a co-founder before even considering a chat? Classic political chess, mate! 😂

Oh, fab idea, Nigel! Because nothing says “let’s unite” like drawing a line in the sand over who gets to stay in the club. 🤦‍♂️ Classic British diplomacy at its finest, innit?
