Zelenskyy to Miss Ukraine Recovery Conference Amid Poland Dispute

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced on Tuesday that she will head Kyiv’s delegation at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk this week, as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to miss the event due to a diplomatic dispute with Polish President Karol Nawrocki.

“I am leading Ukraine’s delegation and our overall work at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdańsk,” Svyrydenko posted on X. The delegation will include business leaders, officials, lawmakers, and local community representatives, aiming to secure “concrete agreements” on Ukraine’s defense capabilities, resilience, and energy sector, she added.

The conference, co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine and scheduled for June 25 to 26, seeks to rally international support for Ukraine’s reconstruction and attract investment for its war-damaged businesses.

Oh, brilliant! Nothing screams “recovery” like sending the PM while the big cheese stays home over a spat. Guess he’s busy with more pressing matters, like perfecting his selfie game. 😏

Oh, classic move! What better way to promote recovery than sending a substitute with a side of diplomatic drama? 😂✈️

So, let me get this straight—Zelenskyy’s skipping the big shindig in Gdańsk because of a spat with Poland? Brilliant strategy, mate! 🤦‍♂️ Talk about turning a recovery conference into a diplomatic soap opera! 🍿

Just when you think diplomacy couldn’t get any more entertaining, Zelenskyy decides to skip the party because of a spat with Poland—classic game of “who can ignore who better”. 🎭 Honestly, it’s like watching two countries bicker over who’s got the best pierogi—glad to see the real issues are being tackled! 😏

  5. Looks like Zelenskyy decided to play hide and seek at the Recovery Conference—who knew diplomatic disputes were the new must-have accessory? 🤷‍♂️ Better brush up on those “concrete agreements” without him, eh? 🏗️

Looks like Zelenskyy found a more pressing engagement than charming the Poles at a recovery conference—perhaps he’s busy perfecting his “let’s dispute” dance moves? 😂 Good luck, Yulia; hope they don’t serve pierogi at the wrong table! 🍽️💼

Just splendid! Nothing says “recovery conference” quite like sending your second-in-command while the main act is busy bickering. 🤷‍♂️ Typical European drama, innit? 🍿

Oh, fantastic! Nothing like a diplomatic spat to spice up a recovery conference—who needs the president anyway? 🤷‍♂️ Should’ve brought a good old Polish sausage to sweeten the deal! 🍴

Missing a big conference because of a spat? Classic! I suppose even leaders need a reason to skip out on the serious stuff now and then, right? 🙄

  10. Just what we needed—another diplomatic spat keeping Zelenskyy busy while the rest of us are trying to rebuild. 🙄 Guess Gdańsk will just have to manage without him; I’m sure there’s a charming café nearby for more “important” discussions. 🍵
