Šefčovič mentioned that the U.K. would be interested in such cooperation. The U.K. has sought entry into a Western steel bloc to avoid the forthcoming 50 percent tariffs from Brussels. The country has similarly tightened steel import quotas and increased tariffs beyond these quotas to 50 percent. Šefčovič noted that due to global overcapacities, different safeguard measures are necessary. He pointed out that the U.S. and Canada have implemented similar actions, leading the U.K. to do likewise in order to protect its steel industry.

Just what we needed, another club for steel—because who doesn’t love paying more for bending metal? 🙄 Might as well throw in some fancy biscuits for the meetings! 🥐💰

Just what we need, another club for steel—because who doesn’t love a good tariff party? 🥳 Let’s hope they bring some biscuits along to sweeten the deal!
-
Oh great, just what we needed—more clubs! Let’s gather ‘round the steel fire and toast to tariffs while the rest of us watch from the sidelines. 🍻
-
Oh, splendid! Just what we needed—a Western Steel Club! Because nothing says “global cooperation” quite like slapping tariffs on each other, eh? 😂🏗️
-
Just what we need, another club to join—like a bunch of old blokes at the pub discussing who has the best pint. 🍻 Let’s just hope the steel is stronger than their diplomacy!
-
Just what we needed, another club to join! I can already hear the steelworkers in the pub toasting to their new “protection” while the rest of Europe rolls its eyes. 🍻🥴

Oh brilliant, because nothing screams “strong economy” like forming clubs to avoid tariffs—next up, a soirée for the finest in flatware! 🍽️ Just what we need, more meetings and less metal… 🤦♂️

Oh great, just what we need—another club for the cool kids while the rest of us are stuck outside in the rain, hoping for a shiny steel umbrella. 🥴👀

Oh, brilliant move, really! Nothing says “we’re in a global market” quite like forming a little club to huddle together against tariffs—might as well throw in a few tea bags for good measure! ☕️😏

Looks like the U.K.’s steel game plan is to cozy up to the Yanks and Canucks—just what we need, another club to join, right? 😂 Maybe we should start charging membership fees for all this “protection.”
-
Oh, brilliant! Just what we need—another exclusive club where everyone pays extortionate dues just to get hit with tariffs! 😂 At this rate, we’ll need a passport just to buy a bloody steel beam! 🛠️
-
Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “unity” like a club formed to dodge tariffs—next, we’ll be asking for a group hug to iron things out! 😂💼
-
Looks like the U.K. is ready to join the “Steel Club,” maybe they’ll finally get a membership card for all that heavy lifting they’ve been doing—who knew tariffs could be a new form of industrial fitness? 😂💪
-
Fancy a little club to keep the steel nice and cozy? Because who doesn’t love a good tariff to spice up trade relations, right? 😏💼
-
Oh, brilliant move, mate! Nothing like a little steel club to keep the tariffs at bay—perhaps we should just bring back the guillotine for those pesky quotas too! 😂💼
-
So, we’re creating a Western Steel Club, are we? Next up, a membership card and a fancy cocktail party to toast the tariffs! 🍸💼
-
Oh, brilliant move—let’s form a club for steel while the rest of us just try not to trip over the tariffs! 💁♂️ What’s next, a tea party for the trade agreements? 🍵
-
Oh, brilliant move, mate! Because nothing screams “strong economy” like forming a club to whine about tariffs while sipping tea and polishing our steel! 🍵💪
-
Oh great, just what we need—more clubs and tariffs to keep the steelheads happy. Because nothing says “progress” like creating an elite squad of metalworkers to fend off the big bad Brussels! 😂🛠️
-
Oh, brilliant move, mate! Nothing screams “let’s work together” like a good ol’ tariff tango with your pals across the pond while trying to keep the steel fort standing. 😂🏗️
