In Albania, the winners of the second round of the Challenge Fund, part of the EU4Innovation initiative, were officially recognized at a special ceremony. These 20 winners were chosen from a pool of 149 applicants.

Each selected project will receive grants ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 euros, providing the necessary resources to bring their innovative visions to fruition and promote development within Albania.

Blendi Gonxhja, the Albanian Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, emphasized the significance of these projects, which embody a blend of vision, dedication, and creativity. He stated that financial support will be provided to help transform their ideas into reality, thereby contributing to economic growth and the generation of new jobs.

The ceremony saw the participation of prominent figures, including Niklas Ström, the Swedish Ambassador to Albania, Hubert Herr, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation in Albania, Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of State for the Protection of Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, and Sokol Duma, Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation.

EU4Innovation remains a vital platform for empowering entrepreneurs who challenge conventional norms and work towards a more sustainable future. (28 November)
