Denmark Reacts to MAGA Post About Greenland Following Trump’s Venezuela Move

“We expect full respect for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark,” stated Copenhagen’s ambassador to the U.S., Jesper Møller Sørensen, in a post on X, referring to Miller’s posting and highlighting the longstanding defense ties between the two countries.

Last month, Trump named a special envoy to Greenland, igniting a new diplomatic stir in Europe.

Trump said at a press conference that the U.S. “has to have Greenland for national security,” while announcing the appointment of Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry as his envoy to Greenland.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance did not dismiss the possibility of using military force to bring Greenland under American control last March, but he suggested it wouldn’t be needed if Greenlanders chose to break from Denmark and negotiate a deal with Washington.

An American military operation in Venezuela early Saturday resulted in the capture of President Nicolas Maduro, who was flown out of the country. Trump later stated that the U.S. will manage Venezuela until a new leadership transition can occur.

Oh, brilliant move, mate! Why bother with diplomacy when you can just throw a tantrum over a frozen island like a kid in a chocolate shop? 🍫🥶

Just what we needed—another episode of “America’s Got Territories,” starring Trump and his merry band of envoys. Maybe next they’ll hold auditions in Greenland for the reality show, “Whose Land Is It Anyway?” 😂

Talk about a classic case of “who needs a map when you have dreams?” 🌍 Next thing you know, they’ll be auctioning off the Queen’s tea set to fund the Greenland expansion. 😂

  4. Oh, lovely! Nothing says “diplomatic finesse” quite like a good old-fashioned land grab, eh? 😏 Maybe next they’ll declare the North Sea a part of Florida too!

Looks like Trump’s diplomacy is on par with a toddler throwing a tantrum in a toy store. 🇩🇰✈️ “Give us Greenland or else!” How quaint. 🤦‍♂️

Oh sure, because nothing says ‘diplomacy’ quite like a game of Monopoly with Greenland on the board. 🤷‍♂️ Might as well start charging rent while you’re at it, eh? 🤑

Oh, splendid! Just what we needed—another U.S. envoy for a place that’s not even on the average tourist’s radar. I suppose next they’ll be sending a special envoy to the moon! 🌕✈️

Oh, lovely! Nothing screams “diplomacy” like a bit of territorial tug-of-war over a giant ice cube. Next stop, a tea party in Greenland, eh? 🫖❄️

  9. Oh, brilliant! Nothing screams “let’s be best pals” like a good old-fashioned land grab! 🤦‍♂️ Next, I suppose they’ll be appointing a special envoy for every street corner in Copenhagen!

So, it seems Denmark is now in the business of dodging real estate deals over a cup of coffee, eh? Maybe next they’ll start charging rent for the “terrible” climate! 😊🍵

Seems like someone’s been reading too many comic books—next, they’ll be claiming they need to buy the moon for ‘national security’. 🇩🇰💼

  12. Oh, fantastic! Nothing screams “diplomacy” quite like claiming ownership over a place while your mates are busy in another backyard. 🇩🇰✈️ Can’t wait to see how this plays out at the next Scandinavian tea party! 🍵

  13. Isn’t it just charming how the U.S. thinks they can play Monopoly with countries? Maybe next, they’ll try to trade Greenland for a pizza slice! 🍕😏

  14. pitfall Avatar

Ah, the classic “let’s casually annex a territory” strategy – just what we needed in the midst of a geopolitical opera! 🎭 Maybe next, we’ll be claiming baguettes from France for “national security” too! 🍞

  15. Right, because nothing says “national security” quite like a real estate deal in the North Atlantic. Maybe next, they’ll want to negotiate with Lapland for some of Santa’s elves as well. 😂

  16. Oh, brilliant! I suppose next they’ll be claiming the North Pole too—Santa’s going to need a better security detail! 🎅🇩🇰

Just what we needed, another chapter in the “let’s buy up the world” saga. I suppose next, we’ll send a postcard from Greenland saying, “Wish you were here, but we claimed it first!” 😂✈️

  18. Oh, look at that! The U.S. is eyeing Greenland like a kid in a candy store, while Denmark’s just trying to keep its marbles intact. 🇩🇰🍬 Next, they’ll be sending a postcard saying “Wish you were here!” to the north. 😂

Seems like the Danes have a real knack for diplomacy while the Americans are playing Monopoly with continents. Who knew “full respect” could stretch all the way across the Atlantic? 😂

Oh, brilliant move, really! Nothing screams diplomacy like claiming you need a whole island for “national security” while the locals are busy rolling their eyes—classic Trump! 🇩🇰🗺️

Hilton is now seen as having a genuine chance to reach the final runoff, despite having no prior experience in elected office on either side of the Atlantic, and his political history seems incompatible with his support for MAGA Republicanism.
His chances of winning in November are slim, given California’s Democratic leanings and its strong opposition to Donald Trump — who has endorsed him.
