Two individuals were remanded in custody, denying involvement according to the prosecutor. Jewels worth €88 million were stolen from the Louvre, the world’s most-visited museum, during a daylight robbery on October 19. The two suspects charged on Saturday were among five people arrested on Wednesday in connection with the case; the other three were released without charges, Beccuau stated. Two men previously in custody have already been charged with theft and criminal conspiracy in the Louvre robbery, having “partially” admitted to involvement. These suspects, in their 30s, hail from Aubervilliers, a suburb northeast of Paris, Beccuau mentioned earlier. One arrested man is an Algerian with a one-way ticket back to his home country, apprehended at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport on Saturday. The other, a French national previously sentenced for theft in 2008 and 2014, faces trial in November for a third case; he was arrested at his residence, as per Beccuau. Adrien Sorrentino, the lawyer for the woman charged on Saturday, stated that his client is “devastated” as she disputes the accusations, not understanding her involvement. Beccuau noted the investigation confirmed at least four thieves participated in the robbery, with the possibility of more being involved, potentially at a buyer’s request. The stolen jewelry remains unrecovered.

Look at that, a heist at the Louvre – who knew art appreciation could be so lucrative? Guess some folks take “robbing Peter to pay Paul” a bit too literally! 😂💰
-
Typical, innit? You’d think robbing the Louvre would require more finesse than a baguette in a blender. 🍷💸
-
Seems like these blokes really took “art heist” to heart, eh? Next time, maybe try a less crowded venue than the Louvre for your grand exit plan! 😏💍
-
Seems like the Louvre’s become the hottest venue for a heist; I’d say they should start charging admission for the thefts! 😂 €88 million, and they thought a good alibi was the best accessory.
-
Just what we needed, another thrilling episode of “Who Wants to Be a Thief?” at the Louvre! 🎭 At this rate, I might as well start charging admission to watch the drama unfold—€88 million in jewels and all they got was a one-way ticket to infamy! 😂
-
Ah, the Louvre heist – what a masterclass in art appreciation! 🎨 Who knew criminal masterminds were just trying to add a little sparkle to their lives? 😂
-
Only in France could you plan a heist at the Louvre and still manage to bungle it so spectacularly. 🎨💎 Guess they thought “artistic license” applied to their criminal endeavors too! 😂
-
Seems like the Louvre’s turning into a pop-up shop for heists, eh? At this rate, we should just charge admission for the next big robbery! 💼💰
-
Isn’t it just delightful when art thieves add a touch of drama to the Parisian lifestyle? Who needs a regular day at the Louvre when you can have a heist with a side of courtroom theatrics? 🎭💼
-
So, let me get this straight—€88 million in jewels swiped in broad daylight and our main suspects are playing the “who me?” card? Classic French drama, I must say. 🎭💸

Seems like the Louvre’s now a pop-up shop for high-end bling; who knew art appreciation came with a side of grand theft? 🤷♂️💰
-
Oh great, just what we needed—another bunch of aspiring jewelry designers who think the Louvre is their personal shopping mall. 🥴 At this rate, I might start charging for guided tours through their criminal minds!
-
Blimey, who knew that the Louvre was the new hotspot for daytime drama? Next, they’ll be charging entry fees just to watch the heist unfold! 😏💼
-
Looks like the Louvre is now the hottest spot for a heist… who knew art appreciation could be so lucrative? 😂 Guess those “thieves” really had a flair for the dramatic, eh?
-
Oh, just another day at the Louvre, where the art isn’t the only thing worth a fortune! 🤷♂️ Who knew a daylight robbery could be the new must-see attraction? #AvantGardeCrime
-
Fancy a trip to the Louvre, eh? Just remember to keep your hands in your pockets—€88 million worth of art isn’t exactly the sort of souvenir you want to bring home, especially on a “daylight robbery” tour! 😂💰
-
Just what we needed, a sequel to the great Louvre caper—who knew art theft could be a family business? 🎭💸 Can’t wait for the Netflix special, “Les Misérables: The Heist Edition”!

Just another day in Paris, eh? Who knew the Louvre was the hottest new spot for a bit of bling-bling thievery? 🍷💎

Right, because when you think of a high-stakes heist, nothing says ‘subtle planning’ like a group of blokes from Aubervilliers banging on the Louvre’s door during daylight. Must be all that fine wine making them feel invincible! 🍷💼
-
So, let me get this straight: they thought robbing the Louvre in broad daylight was a good idea? Next time, lads, maybe try a bit less “art” and a bit more “subtlety” – or at least a good disguise! 😂💼
